A Message From The President

Happy February Everyone. Last month we had Charlie Waddell present on how to reduce outside air requirements using the IAQ Procedure of ASHRAE 62.1. Thanks to our speaker, and everyone who attended. This month we have a familiar face - David Pleasants - presenting on Flow and Energy Metering

At January’s Board of Governor’s Meeting, we began seriously discussing who would fill the newly open leadership positions on our Board (President, Programs Chair, Historian, CTTC). We have some ideas, but are always looking for new ideas and new volunteers. Please let me know if any of you are interested in helping out or have any ideas.

Other discussions during our Board of Governors meeting on January 25th include the following:
• PAOE Points – need to get Board members to update our Points filings.
• An easy way to increase attendance at Chapter meetings is to send out a reminder a day or two before the meeting. We are going to start doing this.
• Programs – Discussed final details on our ICAR tour for March. We also began to brainstorm for programs for the 2012-2013 year.
• Winter National Conference (Chicago) – How many members did we have attend? We counted 7 in our BOG meeting. Please let me know if any of you attended, as we get points for every Chapter Member that attends.
• We’re still looking at doing a Chapter Social Night sometime this spring – ideas have been narrowed down to a Greenville Drive game and a BMW Tour/Dinner.
• Membership month is moving to April.
• CRC – We’re in full swing as far as planning for the Chapter Regional Conference that we’re hosting in August. Brandt Williams is our CRC Chairman – please contact Brandt or myself if you’d like to be involved.
